TWST4Girls Empowers Houston’s Young Women to Lead with Purpose, Confidence & Direction
Founder Sydney Ealy uplifts underrepresented youth with mentorship, life skills, and purpose. What started as a small park gathering has grown into a powerhouse program serving over 1,500 girls. Her mission: build confident young women, one life-changing experience at a time.
In this video from February/March 2025, ESSIKADO highlights TWST4GIRLS’ transformative effort in Essikado, Ghana. By installing a mechanized borehole at Nana Nketsia Basic School, the school’s long-standing water issues were resolved—providing reliable access to clean water for students and staff. The footage shares first-hand testimonials and shows the system in action, underscoring how sustainable infrastructure can improve health, hygiene, and learning outcomes in underserved communities.
The TWST mentorship program empowers girls to become confident, well-rounded young women. Through life skills, guidance, and support, they develop the self-sufficiency needed to thrive. Our girls grow into skilled, successful leaders with bright, purpose-driven futures.

Culture & Arts is a powerful fusion of global exploration and creative self-expression. This season combines the transformative impact of international service-learning with the healing power of artistic expression—expanding how girls see the world and how they see themselves within it.
Through immersive travel experiences and reflective creative practice, participants develop cultural intelligence, emotional resilience, and leadership capacity.

Without a single doubt, I wouldn’t have been able to explore my now career interest of computer science through the internship my mentor, Mrs.ShaRell Webb, introduced me to, as well as encourage others to explore the field of STEM through my Service Learning Project as part of the TWST4Girls Scholars Program. Additionally, the events that TWST offered at no cost at all has changed the way I view the world and also made me better prepared for future things to come. I hope that more young girls get to experience the wonderful community of TWST in the future and get the opportunity to meet the director Ms.Sydney!
